1. Classification and selection criteria of screens
According to the material, the screens used in flour mills are roughly as follows:
Silk screen: Twisted and woven into several strands of natural silk, and then woven. It is characterized by good elasticity, not easy to relax, difficult to deform the size of the eyelet, good hygroscopicity and dehumidification, and less prone to static electricity. But it is not abrasion-resistant and easy to fuzz.
Nylon (nylon) screen: woven from polyamide monofilament fiber. Abrasion resistance, long service life, high strength, good comprehensive use effect.
Polyester screen, woven from polyester fiber monofilament. High strength, not easy to deform, but abrasion resistance and antistatic effect are slightly worse than nylon mesh.
Foreign flour mills also generally used silk screens until the 1940s. At that time, the screens used for classification were usually special screens (14-72) and three screens (7-72). Type, roughly equivalent to the opening size of 1600-200um; the screen used for sieving powder, there are standard (code S, 3-25S), single material screen (code X, 4X-17X), double material screen (code XX , 3-17XX), three material sieve silk (code XXX, 3XXX-18XXX), approximately equivalent to the size of the sieve opening 300-60um.
Silk flour meshes are also commonly used in domestic flour mills, and the labels are also derived from foreign industry norms. "GG" (Grit Gauze) refers to coarse screens, which means the number of sieve holes per Vienna inch The weaving method is full-strand weaving. "XX" refers to the fine-mesh screen, which is mainly used for powder screening and semi-twist weaving.
The marking of domestic screens is based on the metric system, such as CB, JQ, JCQ, etc., which indicate the number of sieve holes per centimeter. The material has silk, nylon and silkworm interwoven, and the weaving method has plain weave, semi-twisted, full Skein and square weave.
With the introduction of imported nylon mesh materials supporting the powder production line, it has attracted the attention of the industry with its long life and good performance. It is directly marked by the size of the mesh. This opening has been serialized, standardized and standardized. Considering the industry appellation and continuous inertia, they correspond to "GG, XXX," respectively, where "GG" is plain weave; "XXX" is an enhanced plain weave, which is also the most widely used in flour mills, and weaving methods are single and double warp Xiang Zhongping weaving, general title: "XX".
The meaning of "GG, XX, XXX" in the title of imported sieve screen has changed greatly from the domestic sieve screen that everyone is familiar with. "XXX" has a thick wire diameter, long service life, and "XX" is stable in size and effective. The sieve area is slightly larger, the surface roughness is high, and the automatic classification effect is good.
The domestic code is "JM" (single and double warp heavy plain weave), "JMG" (plain weave), and now also a "PDM" (single and double warp heavy plain weave). The specifications are different from imported screens, but Close.
 
Antistatic property: All flour sieves require antistatic treatment. This is because the contact and friction between fibers and fibers, fibers and materials will cause the transfer of charges between the fiber surfaces and generate static electricity. It is thin and easy to be attracted by electric charge, which makes it difficult to sieve, and even pastes the net.
Polyester and nylon must be antistatic treated. Generally, there are the following methods:
1. Surface treatment: generally treated with antistatic agent;
2. Polymerization treatment: When the synthetic fiber is polymerized, add a hydrophilic polymer or a conductive low-molecular polymer;
3. Conductive fiber: if carbon is added to the center of the monofilament or carbon is added to the whole filament;
4. Use high-energy radiation, such as gamma radiation or electron beam radiation, to denature fibers, improve hygroscopicity, and increase antistatic effects.
The last three methods are actually antistatic treatment of materials, which are antistatic. The first method is surface antistatic.
Width: With the development of milling technology and grain machine technology, especially the emergence of eight-roll mills and large-scale high-level flat screens, it has indeed created conditions for increasing milling efficiency and increasing production capacity.
